My top 10 quotes on learning to encourage your curiosity

LAST YEAR, I read almost 50 books. Which is almost one book a week and sounds – even to me, very extreme. But over the years, the habit of reading regularly has evolved as something important to me. Every book teaches me something new or let me look at life differently. In this blog I would like to share 10 quotes on learning, to encourage your curiosity.

Strong desire

As a kid, I was very curious and loved to figure things out for myself. However, I’m still pretty much that way. If I don’t know much about something and it doesn’t let go of me, I look for the answers until I have it.

However, I didn’t like school because I wasn’t interested in most of the things my teachers thought were important. Although I loved reading and learning, I never understood what doing well in school would get me other than my parent’s or teacher’s approval.

It wasn’t until I went to university that I started to like education. I enjoyed the discussions in class, I loved the readings and writing the essays gave me the permit to chill in the library a little bit longer. It made me realize that for the first time, I had to learn stuff that I truly cared about. And not only that, I realized that I was getting more and more answers to questions I really had too.

Curiosity is the strong desire to learn without constraint and I guess it’s a critical factor of how well you proceed. It’s the driving force behind new discoveries in technology and science, but all fields. The following quotes are an ode to my love of learning and exploring. Besides that, it’s to encourage you to embrace your curiosity when it hits. Here is my top 10:
