Book of the Month

December 2024

Book of the month: Infectious Generosity

For this December month I’ve picked up a special book for this bookclub. I’m thrilled to introduce a book that has inspired me deeply and one I’m certain will resonate with many of you. It’s not just a book — it’s a powerful exploration into the transformative power of giving and how acts of kindness can create ripple effects far beyond what we might imagine. Whether you’re a long-time insider of this book club or a new reader, this is a timely pick as we embrace the spirit of generosity this holiday season.

If you’re not familiar with Chris Anderson by name, you’ve probably come across his work. As the curator of TED for more than 20 years, Chris has turned what was once a small, exclusive conference into a global platform for ideas that truly “change everything.” TED Talks are now a household name, thanks in large part to his vision and leadership. Read on for my review of this book.

As always, I’ve put this book on my bookshelf for you to discover.

Join the discussion on Instagram — I also launched an Instagram account for this Tiny Bookclub so that more people can actually come across the books I recommend. I’d appreciate it if you follow us here: (@tiny_bookclub) • Instagram-foto’s en -video’s.

Happy reading and happy giving!

Book of the month: What Happened to You?

For this month I’ve picked up a book that I think you could appreciate, and I think everyone should read. What Happened to You is about trauma, and especially about how it shows up in our lives. Until very recently I considered it a heavy topic related to extreme experiences, and I hold the assumption that trauma had to be a big, gigantic thing experienced. After reading this book I realized I missed out on a lot. Oprah and dr. Perry describe in a very accessible and light way to ask ourselves and each other different questions that help ourselves and other people heal and grow.

As always, I’ve put this book on my bookshelf for you to discover.
