Every month, I publish an answer to a reader’s question. This is the 28th edition. Here’s a transcript of my answer to one of my favorite readers’ questions about how to procrastinate less:
Hi Lisanne, lately I’m working on a script for a short movie. It takes a lot of work and even though this is my passion I find myself procrastinating a lot. Do you have any advice?
Hi there! Your question reminds me of a conversation I had a couple of months ago with someone in my network. The person is an established book writer and she shared with me a simple but interesting technique she uses to maintain her motivation. I remember she was talking about how she intentionally makes sure to stop writing at the part when the writing is truly going well, so she’s excited and eager to come back to it. Overcoming the resistance to begin can be quite a challenge, but this could be something for you to try. Good luck with your endeavors!
